Single-family home in Nuevo Baztán

On a horizontal plot of land and a rectangular plot with two strips of oaks on the east and north sides, a single-story home is planned.

The house is arranged in three areas: -one for recreation and living, facing the southern area and setting back the façade as much as possible, thus providing greater solar gain for the garden itself, achieving greater lighting and sunlight towards the home, in this area. There is a large living-dining-kitchen space with the possibility of independence in the latter, allowing it to open to the outside as an extension of the house, -the second, taking advantage of the quieter west wing, where the children's bedrooms are housed. and the pedestrian access, -and a third which includes the master bedroom and an office facing east, in front of a small intimate wooded area of oaks that is offered as a background to said rooms.

Towards the north and west sides the house is limited with the minimum plot setbacks, thus allowing for the largest possible garden and paved open space, facing southeast.

The sloping roofs are provided with wooden views on the inside, creating a space degraded by indirect light in both the master bedroom, the office, and the living-dining-kitchen area.

The large CLT openings on the roof combined with the considerable height of the walls, allow the distribution of rooms with complete freedom and generate large areas of natural light. The prominence of the two large eaves, one projecting to the south that unifies and frames the body of the building in front of the open garden area and the other on the east side, both regulating sunlight, serve to give the house a strong personality.

Due to the insulation system of the envelope, with SATE on the façade and roof with an insulation of 14 cm, -both based on CLT-, it is designed with an A energy classification with passive construction criteria.
