\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCLT structure in Alameda del Valle, Madrid. It is located in a privileged location: the southern slope of the Lozoya Valley. The building integrates perfectly into the architectural character of the existing environment, as well as into the landscape. The shape is determined by the intention of opening up to the most favorable views and orientations, with the aim of providing better energy performance. It is worth noting that the air conditioning and hot water supply have been based on geothermal energy at great depth as an energy source, supported by photovoltaic solar panels on the roof. Given the extreme climate in winter, the distribution of heating using underfloor heating as a low-temperature heat emitter (greater thermal comfort) results in very low consumption, thanks to the aforementioned energy source and to its construction as a passive house, due to the super-insulation implemented under the foundation slab, the facades, and the roof, whose fundamental base core is the exterior walls of cross-laminated timber. This system CLT<\/strong> allows to clearly reduce the transmittances, avoiding thermal bridges and unwanted air infiltrations. The ceilings seen in CLT<\/strong> and the staircase stringer manage to enhance the character of the mountain house in the aforementioned valley, giving a feeling of warmth and intimacy.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
